SB Synthetic E P Gear Oil (wos) Mainlube

    1. Synthetic Limited Slip Gear Oil. Synthetic polyalphaolefin base gear oil combined with advanced additive package provides a water, foam and corrosion resistant Long-Life gear lubricant. Mainlube 151 exceeds the specs of API GL-5, Mack GO-H & GO-J, Mil-L-2105D, Mil-PFR-2105E, MT-1 or Multi Purpose EP.

      Available in SAE 75w90, 75w140, or ISO 100, 200.

      CHARACTERISTICS:

Mainlube 151 is designed to provide improved:-

      Thermal stability. Oil seal life.

Corrosion protection to yellow metals Durability. under wet and dry conditions.

All of which overcome the growing concern of Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) And Vehicle Machinery Owners.

      Improved Thermal Stability

Mainlube 151 provides complete protection against the formation of sludge, oxidation, carbonaceous deposit build-up and excessive viscosity increases thereby ensuring long service life of transmission components.

Modern high performance transmission sets are subject to high thermal loads due to the following reasons :

Changes in vehicle aerodynamics. Wider use of driveline retarders. Extended low and high speeds. Higher horsepower.

Increased power required for Reduced maintenance . transmissions and rear axles.

As a result of the increased friction in these situations, gear set temperatures can exceed 180 °C. Mainlube 151 effectively handles these situations and will also lower the operating temperature due to the 50% over treat of stabilised EP additives.

      Maximum Performance

151's E.P. additives ensure maximum performance under all operating conditions, eg; high and low temperatures and high shock loads.

Without these specialised E.P. additives normal gear oils can become thick and heavy during temperature drops also when run at high temperatures they can form heavy deposits that become hard, clogging systems and filters. This results in the draining of energy increasing oil consumption.

      Oil Seal Life Extended

When using ordinary gear oils in hot extended oil change applications, lubricant decomposition builds up sludge and deposits in the seal underlip area. These deposits cause the seal temperature to be 20 to 30° C higher than the already elevated transmission temperature. Mainlube 151 prevents high temperature seal failure as Mainlube 151 reduces the overall gearbox temperature and the seal underlip areas remain clean.

      Improved Durability

Mainlube 151 has the ability to prevent pitting fatigue as it retains a thin film of lubricant on the metal surfaces. Ordinary gear oils migrate away from the metal surfaces leaving the friction surfaces exposed causing oxidation. Oxidation results in corrosion and pitting wear failures reducing the life of gear sets.

      Extreme Pressure

Mainlube 151 is fortified with advanced extreme pressure supplements that withstand harsh conditions. The stay on properties of 151's E.P. film effectively quietens drive line noises. 151's Additives will protect copper and copper alloys in wet or dry conditions. There is no interaction between metals causing corrosion as may occur with ordinary gear oils.

      Water Resistant

Mainlube 151 is formulated with specialised demulsifies that quickly separate water so it can be simply drained off. Mainlube 151 is water and condensation resistant.

      Hypoid Gear Application

Mainlube 151 can be used in Hypoid Gears where the Pinion Gear is less than 25% of the Crown Wheel or where the Pinions and Crown Wheel has more than 2 inches Offset.

      Limited Slip Diff Application

Chatter which is caused by the slip stick of clutch plates is eliminated by 151’s special balance of proven friction modifiers at full protection concentrations.
